Robo/one 10
Robo/one 10 is 9/16 through 9/17. I think that is 9/17 through 9/18 here. Wish that I could go! Maybe next year. I think Matt Baur is going. I heard that there will be over 150,000 people there! I would pay 20.00 dollars to see a 2 or 3 hour video about it! Maybe Robotdreams or Matt Baur will make one.

Hi Mike,
Given the time zone differences (the intenational date line is in the middle of the Pacific) it will actually be 9/15 through 9/16 for you. It would be great if you could be here at some point in the future. ROBO-ONE 11 will probably be sometime next March with ROBO-ONE 12 about a year from now. There are also other events during the year like the 'J', Special, and GP (Grand Prix) competitions. Also, the Robot Force folks down in Osaka have been running some really interesting and exciting competitions (Robo-Fight and Robo-Gong) about every 3 months or so.
Matt (plus his wife and brother-in-law) will be here competing with Rook's Pawn in ROBO-ONE 10. It's going to be a blast.
"150,000 people"?? Maybe by 2008 or 2009. It's a popular event, but those numbers are way too high.
I hear you about the video, and have been thinking along the same lines. No promises - it would be a lot of work - but I will definitely consider it. In anycase, there will be some videos, photos, and event reports posted on Robots Dreams starting right after the competition.
